Built to the 1000BASE-LX standard, the HPE Networking Instant On S0G20A is a 1G SFP transceiver that carries 1310nm light over single-mode fibre for up to 10km through an LC connector, longer reach than a multimode SX optic. It suits a Gigabit uplink between buildings where multimode fibre or copper will not reach far enough. Both ends of the link need a matching 1000BASE-LX optic.
